Fix Win32k Sys Blue Screen Easily
For the duration of almost 2 decades that I’ve been working with PC’s I have never encountered the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSoD). Please understand that I am not keen on meeting BSoD considering the inconveniences that it will cause me and my computer system. I am rather thankful that through my vigilance (bordering paranoia), I have prevented such an occurrence.
BSoD is the error screen displayed by Microsoft Windows operating systems upon encountering a critical error, of a non-recoverable nature. Usually, this causes the system to crash. BSoD is oftentimes caused by Windows registry problems. It is a final warning given (displayed with blue screen) to prevent damage to your system. When the PC faces critical failure, then it leads to BSoD.
Windows registry problems are the result of several factors among which is the multitude of programs present in our hard drive. These programs use a lot of hardware resources and tend to overload the registry. Registry errors could also be caused by spyware, adware, viruses, and malware present in the system. That’s why it’s important to have an effective and updated anti-virus to address these. Incomplete installation or un-installation of software could also be the culprit. These have the tendency of overloading the registry, much like additional hardware which necessitates additional drivers.
Win32k sys blue screen error is one variant of BSoD. A message like:
STOP: 0X00000050 (0X93BC6A0E, 0X00000000, 0XBF8813D4, 0X00000000)
win32k.sys – Address BF8813D4 base at BF800000, DateStamp 3F73195D
With the typical eerie blue background will be displayed on your computer monitor. Now the question is what do you do?
Statistics point to the fact that BSoD, in different forms and degree of harm caused, will affect a computer system at least once in its lifetime. So don’t panic because yours is not an unique case. The win32k sys blue screen error is likely to be due to a corrupted win32k.sys file. All you have to do is to go to C:WINDOWSSystem32 and rename the Win32k.sys file to Win32k.old. Close the window, go back to the system32 folder and you will have a new and non-corrupt Win32k.sys file. If this does not work, the particular stop error could be due to Windows operating system having corrupted virtual memory. You will have to disable and then enable the virtual memory and hopefully that will solve the problem.
Although not much technical knowhow is needed to achieve these solutions, some people would rather use a commercially available fix in the form of a registry cleaner. A registry cleaner is specialized software which is designed to scan the windows registry and remove all broken and obsolete entries. By doing so, corruption of the win32k.sys file is avoided. The organized registry also gives the added benefit of boosting system speed and improving performance.
I have avoided BSoD by religiously scanning my system using one of these registry cleaners, and I have noticed that my system performance has shown very little signs of degradation in spite of the added additional software, hardware and the heaps of personal files I’ve loaded it with. Remember that a little system care and maintenance will go a long way in the optimization of your computer system.
